EN These storages and trays are made of a solid piece of spruce encircled by a strap bent with hot water. This typology is inspired by the tradition of the Vallée de Joux in the manufacture of cheese boxes (Vacherin Mont d’Or). The shape results from an adaptation of the round box to a profile approaching the square to make the storage more efficient with radius curved to the maximum of the wood capacity. The production of the strap and the bottom allows to obtain 2 different typologies that are the bowl or the tray. The ability to bend spruce comes from a historical know-how and an exceptional quality of wood specific to this region.
FR Ces plats sont constitués d'une pièce massive d'épicéa cerclée d'une sangle courbée à la vapeur. Cette typologie s'inspire de la tradition de la Vallée de Joux dans la fabrication des boîtes à fromage (Vacherin Mont d'Or). La forme résulte d'une adaptation de la boîte ronde à un profil se rapprochant du carré pour rendre le stockage plus efficace avec un rayon courbé au maximum de la capacité du bois. La production de la sangle et du fond permet d'obtenir 2 typologies différentes que sont le bol ou le plat. La capacité de courber l'épicéa provient d'un savoir-faire historique et d'une qualité de bois exceptionnelle propre à cette région.
