EN The GR-01 armchair explores the subtle balance of tensions a chair must bear. The design expresses them in a formal way. Combining some Danish and Swiss craft techniques, this chair evokes a narrative linked to an aesthetic of the past century. However, the lines are deliberately quite radical, giving the design a more contemporary touch. The armrest posts are inclined to allow loads to be lowered to the floor directly under the hand support point. The thin backrest board, meanwhile, works in traction when the user leans on the armrests to get up.
FR Le fauteuil GR-01 explore l'équilibre subtil des tensions qu'une chaise doit gérer. Le design les exprime de manière formelle. Combinant certaines techniques artisanales danoises et suisses, cette chaise évoque un narratif liée à une esthétique du siècle dernier. Cependant, les lignes sont volontairement assez radicales, ce qui amène le design vers une touche plus contemporaine. Les montants des accoudoirs sont inclinés permettant la descente des charges au sol directement sous le point d'appui de la main. La fine planche du dossier, quant à elle, exerce une traction lorsque l'utilisateur s'appuie sur les accoudoirs pour se lever.
